The technical requirements for food service packaging boxes primarily concern materials and food safety. The raw materials used must comply with safety standards for food-contact materials; they must not contaminate the food or alter its taste and quality under normal conditions of use. The materials must also demonstrate stability, resisting significant changes when in contact with grease, moisture, or hot and cold foods. Furthermore, appropriate materials must be selected based on the specific intended use of the disposable packaging, avoiding any materials that fail to meet food packaging standards.

Structural integrity and performance are also critical technical requirements. Packaging boxes must possess sufficient strength to prevent rupture, collapse, or deformation when filled with food and must withstand a certain degree of compression during transport. For soups, beverages, and oily foods, the packaging requires effective sealing, leak-proof capabilities, and grease resistance. If the box is intended for hot food, the material's heat resistance must be considered to prevent softening or deformation at high temperatures. Additionally, the connection between the lid and the container body should be well-designed to ensure ease of opening and closing.

Manufacturing quality must also meet established standards. Once formed, the boxes should maintain dimensional stability, with edges free from noticeable burrs or sharp points, and any printed graphics or text must be clear and intact. Production processes should be managed to optimize material usage and minimize waste. As the industry shifts toward eco-friendly practices, manufacturers should prioritize recyclable or environmentally compliant materials and employ structural designs that reduce packaging waste, thereby minimizing environmental impact while still meeting functional requirements.
