Storage conditions for plastic packaging bags

When storing plastic packaging bags, ensure the environment is clean and dry. Warehouses should be well-ventilated to prevent the bags from remaining in damp conditions for extended periods, which could lead to surface moisture or contamination. Additionally, avoid prolonged direct exposure to sunlight; certain UV-sensitive plastic materials may discolor or become brittle under such conditions. Therefore, storage in an indoor or sheltered area is recommended.

 

Temperature is another critical factor affecting the storage quality of plastic packaging bags. Bags should not be stored in high-temperature environments for long periods or placed near heat sources such as heating equipment or steam pipes. Excessive heat can cause some plastic materials to soften, deform, or even stick together. Maintaining a stable storage temperature and avoiding rapid fluctuations helps preserve material properties.

 

Prevent crushing and mechanical damage during stacking and handling. It is best to store bags of different specifications and materials separately and label them clearly based on product information for easy retrieval. Avoid dragging or bumping the bags during handling, and ensure they do not come into contact with sharp objects that could cause scratches or punctures. For bags stored in rolls or bundles, control the stacking height to prevent excessive pressure on the materials at the bottom.

 

Store plastic packaging bags away from chemicals, oil, and other potential contaminants. For food-grade packaging bags, maintain strict hygiene standards to prevent exposure to dust, odors, or other pollutants during storage. Implement a "First-In, First-Out" (FIFO) inventory system, prioritizing the use of older stock. Before use, inspect the bags for appearance and integrity; if issues such as significant discoloration, deformation, adhesion, or damage are detected, conduct a thorough check to ensure they meet usage requirements before putting them into service.
